The New Knitty

11 03 2009

I was surfing and saw that the new issue of Knitty is out.  I am looking for a new fresh project that I can do to reboot my Knitting love.  There were two patterns that I think are cute:

Topaz

I would make this little dress for my sister.  She is 5 in a few days and she is super skinny so Ifigure I can mod the pattern to make it long enough for her.

If not this is a super cute pattern for anyone who is having a baby!

The second cute pattern is:

Hanne

I would make this vest for myself. It would be nice on a cool spring day.  Plus it has the added difficulty with the 90* turn.  I have not knit anything like that.

Plus this would be a awesome present for christmas or someones birthday!

Two Halves Make A Whole

18 03 2008

Well I have made the back of my Bobble Clutch. I have both the front and back pieces, now I have to line it and insert a zipper… (Ooooo) I am somewhat nervous about the zipper! Oh yes I forgot to mention the wonders of the Family Phone Tree. I had mentioned to my mother I was looking for a sewing machine and she worked her magic phone tree and found me one. Thank you to my wonderful Aunt – she is donating her sewing machine to me for the time while I embark on another path of crafts!

I think I will make a few more clutches, which will be gifts for the masses! I will pick different stitches and different yarn and pump some out! I am becoming an industrious crafter.

I moved some of our pot lights around so the lighting is better and a lot easier to show off the great green.

I So want to Sew

17 03 2008

Oh how I am so witty!

I am an ever loyal blogger… and reader as well. Since the Ultimate Blog Party I have become inundated with many new wonderful adventures to read. I especially have enjoyed Crafty Natalie’s blog – her most recent post Amy Butler Large Portfolio, is not a good post for me to have read. Since it is all about sewing – and for those who know me best I am already on the hunt for a sewing machine, and well this makes me want one more. As I did pledge to make all my gifts this year by hand – see my badges.

Back to what I was talking about; Amy Butler has some great Free Patterns (and these days FREE is the key word)! I have saved a few of her PDFs, which will be gifts for me and maybe some others out there (No names because they may read this now or in the future).

Oh this whole world of craftiness is not looking so great for my wee pocket book – heck I will make my self a bigger wallet (lol).

THANK YOU to all the great bloggers who came by for the Ultimate Blog Party

The photo below is from The Purl Bee’s Knitted Easter Eggs… I think I will try and make some of these little cuties! (If you make some post a link to the pictures I would love to see them!)
